Journal guidelines
As the quaterly ASG publication, GeoAgenda magazine follows the principles of science communication. The contributions present current projects to the Swiss geography community in accessible, "journalistic" language.
Guidlines are currently being revised. Thanks for your patience.

Editorial deadline and publication dates
GeoAgenda is published quarterly on
1 March (editorial deadline: 10 January)
1 June (editorial deadline: 10 April)
1 October (editorial deadline: 10 August)
1 December (editorial deadline: 10 October)

Attention: Exceptional editorial deadlines and publication dates 2025:
GeoAgenda 1-2025: Editorial deadline on 7 January, publication on 1 March 2025
GeoAgenda 2-2025: Editorial deadline on 18 February, publication on 1 June 2025
GeoAgenda 3-2025: Regular: Editorial deadline on 10 August, publication on 1 October 2025
GeoAgenda 4-2025: Editorial deadline on 1 November, publication on 15 December 2025

Timetable:

  • 3-6 months before publication date: Plan publication with the editor-in-chief (katharina.pelzelmayer@unine.ch).
  • 7-8 weeks before publication date: Submit complete article to editor-in-chief (katharina.pelzelmayer@unine.ch).
  • 8-5 weeks before publication date: Review and editing of the article based on the journal guidelines by the editor-in-chief. If necessary, revision of the text by authors.
  • 6-5 weeks before publication date: Text is finalised. From now on, no more changes to the text are possible.
  • 6-5 weeks before publication date: Article goes to layout.
  • 5-4 weeks before publication date: Layout check (hyperlinks are not yet active and images in full resolution) by authors using "sticky notes" directly in the PDF and "green light" for print
